Whew! The family reunion is next weekend! Yay! Then, I won't have to do another people search forever! Checking up on our caterer, etc, was pretty easy now that I know how to look up Employment Records, so that was good. But I'm excited that I won't have to find a person for months. Maybe I'll take a Caribbean cruise?

In preparation for the family reunion next month, I'm learning how to give a kickass speech. I haven't needed to find a person since we finished the guest list, but I still have to do a people serch to check up on our caterer, our photographer, all that, that we've hired for the event. Not too stressful, but still.

As promised last month, I took this month off and I didn't find people at all! It was nice to relax. Don't get me wrong. I'm so grateful to have learned how to find person and to be able to share that knowledge with you. But seriously, sometimes, I just want to be left in my own little world without contact from anyone from my past. I spent the month reading rants like this one to Audrina Partridge. That's a knee-slapper, that one.

Just a quick note to say that we're done with our people search for the reunion. It's all in my friend's hands now, and let me tell you: he's busy. Booking a hotel, caterer, entertainment, coordinating schedules. Man, I'm glad I'm not him, but I am one exhausted people finder. I think I'm going to check out for a month and just spend it reading lists like real bollywood movie titles, that's the best way I know how to deal with stress.

Okay, next month is the cut off. We've decided. Even though we're constantly trying to search people, our results have only been trickling in lately. (His family had to run out eventually, right?) So we figure that if we don't find someone by next month, they wouldn't have time to get off work, book a plane ticket and all of that right? But until then, our marathon people searches continue. Some might call me crazy. I like to think of myself as a people search advocate.

We set a date. I know, crazy. Even though we keep tracking down new relatives every week (!!), my friend thought that setting a deadline would keep the fire under me to make me find them ALL before the date. So it's going to be in June. Crazy, crazy, I know. And finding this guy's relatives is almost a full-time job! I mean, it's not normally like that. As I've said a bunch of times in this blog, it's really easy to find someone using people search, but this guy just has a huge family. There's all kinds of cousins and illegitimate children and long lost uncles to track down. It's so intense, I nearly screamed at someone at the grocery store like this rant farm - to the woman at trader joes.

I don't have to be at work until noon today, which is nice, except that the contractors working on the house woke me up at eight. Yuck. I suppose I should be glad for their dedication and commitment and work ethic, but right now I wish I could just be asleep dreaming of electric sheep. Other than that though, the contractors are working out really well. Another thing that's working out well is person search. I've tracked down so many of my friend's relatives for his family reunion. I understand why he's putting off setting a date. Every day, we find someone new to invite. Yeah, I know all about how to find people. In unrelated news, I don't think that marathon will ever happen, but I did have a short-lived health kick, so I found this great site about whole life sciences.

I've been helping my friend at work organize his family reunion, and while we're finding people, he's been having a harder time getting people to commit to the reunion day and time. I guess he's not the only one. I found this find relative blog that talked about something similar. Also, my girlfriend and I got a house--well, her more than me. Her great uncle recently passed on, and left his house to her--which is great. Only the thing is in serious need of some even more serious repairs. Fortunately I found this great article on finding a contractor and we're hoping we'll get the repairs going in no time. Meanwhile, living together has been an interesting adjustment--her cat and I got along much better when I didn't have to help clean out his litter box...which I'm off to do now. Yuck!

Peace - Silla

Yes, I'm thinking about running a marathon, call me crazy! People have told me it's completely do able and I have a training schedule that a colleague at work gave me. I'm going to give it a shot and try the training schedule, it would be an awesome achievement. Speaking of marathon's I've been on a people search marathon lately! I am helping a good friend plan his family reunion, of course with all my finding people experience he came directly to me... While helping him find people I found some more great people search tools:
People Finder has lots of people search goodness.
Person Lookup this is a new people search site, has lots of new ways to find people
PeopleSearchDigest.com - Public Records Now People Search this is an article all about finding people, has some great people search tips

So as I told you last month I gave up coffee. I've managed to keep it up. The tea wasn't really doing it for me though, so I switched to decaf coffee. Fooling my body into thinking its getting caffeine! I don't miss the caffeine at all anymore. I've taken up jogging, which gives me so much more energy than caffeine ever did, I'm becoming a healthy machine! But enough about that and onto what you really stopped by to read about, finding people and people search news, right? I have two very cool people search tools to recommend you check out if you want to find out the best ways to find people fast:
Background Search and
Person Search
Also want to tell you all about this really cool list site I found, it has very funny lists, my favorite at the moment is: Giant Lists - Waste Your Day Away I am working on a list to submit, so hopefully that will be up on their site next month and I will include a link to my list!
